The store owner christobal delgado, a 53 year old, was killed during the robbery. The suspects were described as a hispanic male, 20's, 5'10", 145 pounds with a stocking over his face. The other suspect was described as a white male, 20's 5'7", 135 pounds with a white bandana over his face. Both suspects had pistols. Both suspects fired their weapons. The hispanic male hit delgado killing him. The dry cleaning store in the area was robbed two days earlier by subjects matching the same description. On wednesday august 15, 2012 at about 11:00 am, several people utilizing the santa fe trail running along the east side of fountain creek, south of the cimarron bridge, found a body lying near the wooden pedestrian bridge over fountain creek. The victim had sustained multiple stab wounds, and was likely attacked where he was found. Victim was a transient with a campsite along the same trail, about 3/4 of a mile away. A blue bicycle and a dog found nearby were believed to belong to the victim. On november 26, 2005, at approximately 03:40 a.M., officers responding to a disturbance and shooting at 2555 south chelton road discovered a young male lying on the ground with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest. The young male was identified as kevin jamaal andrews, a 26-year-old black male. Mr. Andrews was pronounced dead at the scene. The autopsy concluded manner of death was homicide resulting from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Witnesses stated mr. Andrews and a hispanic male had an altercation that moved out into the parking lot and involved several individuals when numerous shots were fired. On sunday, november 18, 1990, deputies of the el paso county sheriff's department went to the home of their colleague, sheriff's lieutenant cecelia "C.C." benefiel-cipriani, to check her welfare after she inexplicably did not report for her assigned shift at the sheriff's department. Upon entering her home, they found lt. Benefiel-cipriani lying on the floor, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. She was found still wearing her sheriff's department uniform, suggesting she has been attacked shortly after working her last shift. Evidence at the scene indicated several rooms of the home had been ransacked and valuables gathered together, but it is unknown what, if any items were actually removed from the house. No eyewitnesses were identified, and neighbors did not identify unusual activity around the house near the time of the crime, although, it was learned that several residential burglaries had recently occurred in the ivywild area. Although several potential suspects have been investigated in the years since this crime, no arrests have yet been made. On may 28, 1980, a patrol officer responded to an emergency call in the 200 block east of fountain. Upon arriving, he found 83 year old artie borden severely beaten and in a semi-conscious state. Mr. Borden was unable to identify his attacker to the officer. He was transported to st francis hospital where he died from his injuries on june 10, 1980. Mr. Borden ran a rooming house for the poor. He would provide a meal and a temporary place to stay for those dispossessed and downtrodden. The tenant who called the police said he overheard what sounded like an argument between mr. Borden and another unknown individual. When he went to investigate, he discovered mr. Borden beaten and lying on his kitchen floor. On thanksgiving night, november 25, 2004, a group of seven young people met at the icon night club on north academy blvd at about 9 p.M. Two sisters with this group interacted with other males in the bar and there may have been a verbal confrontation between them and the original group of friends. About 2.A.M. The seven friends departed in three cars and drove as a group to the denny;s parking lot at academy and flintridge, with the two sisters together in one car. The women reported that at a stoplight near flintridge dr. A suv described as a dark colored ford explorer or expedition pulled up beside them, and that two african american male occupants were trying to 'hit on them.' the women stated they rebuffed the advances and continued to the south end of the denny's parking lot where they met with the rest of their group. A few minutes later, the same suv that had contacted the women pulled into the denny's lot near the group of friends. A verbal altercation between the two groups of people ensued, during which shots were fired from the suv, and may have also been fired from individual(s) in the parking lot as the suspect vehicle fled the area. Brandon brown, age 23, was struck by one of the gunshots while standing in the parking lot and died as a result of this injury. Brandon had been part of the original group of friends from the icon and did not appear to have been involved in the described altercation.
